The Beverly Hills of Fort Lauderdale: Harbor Beach

It is exclusive. It is luxurious. It is a waterfront paradise. And it’s tucked away in a tiny corner, nudged between the intracoastal and the south end of Fort Lauderdale Beach. Let me tell you about Harbor Beach, because I am in love with this community. It is a place I called home for many years.

It is easy to access Harbor Beach because it is right off the 17th Street Causeway, near the inlet. That is a huge reason why many boaters love this community because it’s so easy to get your vessel to the ocean. But even though it is accessible – the community still feels very private.

I have listings in Harbor Beach from the $600,000 range to this magnificent $11,000,000 gated estate. One Sotheby’s International Realty says the average price of single family homes sold in this community is more than $4, 000,000, and more than $1,300,000 for the condos sold.

The Harbor Beach real estate market is extremely healthy. The sale of waterfront homes is up 67% over the last 6 months. And the average selling price has jumped almost 150% in that same time period. Condos are also on fire in this neighborhood. The condo market in Harbor Beach has seen a 367% increase in the past 6 months.

The beauty of living here is that you can travel by waterway to breakfast, lunch or dinner. The community is just south of Las Olas Boulevard, so you are not far from the Fort Lauderdale dining and entertainment scene. But you also can get away and relax on the private beach exclusively for Harbor Beach homeowners. And the beaches in this part of the city are amazing! Because it is right near the inlet – the white sand goes on forever. I made many memories hosting BBQ’s on the beach with friends and family.

Harbor Beach is known as the Beverly Hills of Fort Lauderdale because it is luxury living. But it also has a very relaxed vibe. You will find families and retirees, yachters and landlubbers, celebrities and athletes. It has something for everyone and it’s the reason I chose to live here for nearly 15 years. Harbor Beach is a little slice of paradise.
